Pastor Young

Edward Eugene Young grew up in a minister’s
home, and came to the Lord at an early age.  He
received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit in 1954,
when he was just eleven years old.  Before
turning twelve, he felt a call to the ministry in a
dream where he shouted,  “God, I’ll do anything!”

In his last year of high school, Edward
received a scholarship to a Bible college in the
Chicago area where he lived.  After college, he
traveled in the ministry for about five years  —
working with the youth and music departments of
various churches across the country.

Edward E. Young presently resides in Jackson,
Michigan.  Christian Assembly is his third pastorate.

Since 1995, he and his wife, Ruth, have made
four trips to serve the Lord in Ghana (west Africa).

On Father’s Day of this year (2010), Brother Young celebrated forty-one years of a continuous,
Spirit-filled pastoral ministry.

Over the years, he has written several books on controversial, theological issues.  A couple of them are available on the “Free Downloads” page of this web site.
